You can also put a limitation on the covering area by using the tools’ virtual wall system. All you have to do is to put a virtual wall on the open space and set the infrared beam in suitable condition. The Iroomba will automatically detect the barrier and stop working past it.

The Irobot Roomba 510 Vacuum Cleaning Robot runs with a rechargeable battery that serves for around three hours; which should be ample enough time to cover the whole floor.
